5 things you should not share on Facebook

Social networking through Facebook has become a global trend today. We feel like sharing our feelings, pictures and latest updates with everyone through Facebook. However, it is not advisable to highlight each and every update or give the details of every moment through Facebook as sharing certain information on the social networking site can prove to be really risky for you. Here are the five details that you should never share on Facebook.

Giving password clues

Never reveal your password details. We tend to answer the different security questions, answering our bank or brokerage firm our mom's maiden name, the name of our favorite song etc. Therefore, we end up getting the same details on the information page on our Facebook profile, making it easy for the criminals to easily crack our password information.

Revealing vacation plans or details

Many foster the habit of boasting everyone that our life is so very happening and full of adventures. Sentence like countdown to Italy or vacation trip to Ha
waii, off to Goa, are often seen popping on the profile page. Sharing such details on Facebook can prove to be really dangerous as you are inviting the robbers at your place by informing them when you are out. The safest way to share your good times is to upload the pictures of your vacation trip after you come back.

Revealing your phone number or home address

You should never share your phone number or home address through Facebook as by revealing these details you may land up into trouble. If you want to
ignore certain people in your life and don't want to keep in touch with them ever again, you should never reveal your phone number on Facebook as anyone can track your contact number from there easily. Also by revealing the home address in the Facebook you can fall into the risk of physical or identity theft.

Uploading photos or videos of your kid

Everyone feels happy as well as excited at the birth of a newborn and feel like sharing their kid's pictures with the whole world .Videos and pictures of the
kids are supposed to be very personal, therefore, keeping them at home as a personal collection is the best advice for the ones who feel like updating every single detail of their kids life on a social media. By doing so, you are putting the safety of your kids at risk as these information can easily reach the wrong ones. Updates about your kid's whereabouts and location might cause you serious troubles.

Sharing financial details

Never give out or share your personal financial details openly with friends through Facebook. If you haven't done proper privacy setting on your profile, a comment t
hat may seems safe on the Facebook wall can create a big hassle as identity thieves are around to collect such information's about your banking details where you have made your life investments.

10 ways your Boss will get you to Quit

If you are among the talented ones in your office and is supposedly getting more attention than your Boss then you should be seeing a pink slip coming your way anytime. There are some good hard working employees, but sometimes their attitude or personality does not take them far in a workplace. But we have another set of employees who are exceptional and are determined to go beyond their bosses, which will end them up in making more enemies than friends. Employees who show up for work, do their duties very well, and their overall job is betted good then it is difficult for Managers, supervisors and corporate figureheads to put employees on probation or fire them if they have done nothing wrong to warrant such actions.

But how will you know that your boss wants to secretly get over you? What might be some signs that a boss gives out when he wants to get rid of his potential threat? Here are a few:

Concentrates on you for no reason:

If you have a your boss checking your minute to minute work, keeping a watch on when you come and leave office, checks who are on your chat list and who you are chit chatting with. Then you will have to gear up as he is determined to point your errors more than once. Whether big or small, making you feel guilty is what matters and he will keep repeating it until you turn out humble in your attitude or either get frustrated and leave the job. Either way a boss may reason that he or she won't have to put the person on probation and cause him or her possible feelings of resentment or fire this person. Whatever happens, the boss just wants the potential "problem" to go away.

Insults you in front of others:

Pointing out errors will never be a private affair when a boss wants to get rid of a potential employee. He always makes sure that, people in the organization g
et to know your mistakes and how incapable you are of handling the job. Your confidence tends to weaken when you are insulted in front of your colleagues and friends. However, if the employee has noticed an increase in negative statements, this is a clear sign that there is something about the employee that bothers him or her.

Deploys spies who report back to him about your actions:

So how long was she in office? Did he complete the work that I had given him? Was she chatting with a person from the other department? Wer
e they on time for work this week? Where did they go after the meeting? These are few of the questions that your boss will shoot at your spies so that he can build a very starong file against you. Records your daily actions to show how viable are you to be fired.

Ignores you and does not expect any feedback from you:

Your boss calls you for a meeting, tells you what to do and then the meeting is adjourned. Now this may not have been happening before. How
ever, if these are some sign that your boss portrays then you need to understand that he no longer cares for your inputs.

Offers lesser responsibility:

One fine morning you come to office and you find out that you are stripped of your responsibilities and maybe your team is divided without your knowledge. Then
it is a sure sign that there is something unpleasant on the horizon. After all, your boss cannot fire a person who's got a ton of important work to do, with many people underneath you. So over time, he will reduce the work given to you, reduce the people under you and eventually a new job title of which you have no clue about. Eventually you will have a hard time finding anything of real value to do all day.

Gives you impossible tasks that cannot be achieved:

If your boss cannot bend your attitude then he will pin you up with an impossible task that cannot be achieved by you, at least something t
hat cannot be achieved in the near future. Trying to prove him wrong, you end pushing yourself harder and the people around you. This could lead to a level where you get irritated, frustrated and leads you to quitting.

Are you longer in the information loop?:

You go on a business trip and when you come back, your whole working system is changed. After a day at office you realize that were not informed about any
of these changes and all that you have to do is adopt yourself to the new system. This is a huge telltale sign. Suddenly you're finding out about company news from the cleaning lady or the new girl in accounting. If you were formally in the know about all things business related, but now suffer from "the company's doing what??!" disease, the writing is probably on the wall.

Uses psychological warfare on you:

Mental peace is very important at workplace and a psychological warfare by boss will just wipe out all the tranquility you had in your job. He will make you w
ork overtime, disturb when you are on vacation, blow up things out of proportion and keep picking on you for silly problems. All of these sneaky ways are designed to stress the employee so much that it will make you start posting those resumes of yours to other employers.

Encourages you find job elsewhere:

Sometimes your bosses can be quite bold, especially after a disagreement, and say something like, "Well, if you are not happy here, why don't you just find ano
ther job?". It is a clear sign that he no longer wants you around him. Although you need to pay attention as to know how the suggestion was made since the last disagreement. If your boss is repeatedly reminding you of finding a new job then it is a complete red flag.

Impossible to get an idea approved:

Think back. A long time ago, people would give a green light for your projects faster than the traffic signals. But that's no longer the case. The boss is sud
denly silent when it comes to approval. You're being passed around for middle-manager to middle-manager. The silent treatment is a sure sign of pink-slip disease.

Global gaming spend to touch $112 Billion by 2015: Gartner

The global spending on the gaming ecosystem is expected to touch $112 billion from the current $67 billion in 2010, with major technology and business model transitions driving the growth of the industry, research firm Gartner today said.

"The worldwide spending on the gaming ecosystem (gaming hardware, software, mobile and PC games) will exceed $74 billion in 2011, up 10.4 per cent from 2010 spending of $67 billion. By 2015, spending will reach $112 billion," Gartner said in a statement.

Of this, gaming hardware and online gaming is expected to reach $27.35 billion and $28.29 billion respectively by the end of 2015, Gartner said.

Gaming software is expected to contribute $44.7 billion in 2011 and will continue to dominate the overall gaming market in the next five years ($56.5 billion at 2015) as it absorbs almost two-thirds of consumers' gaming budgets, it added.

"This large market size means that many consumers embrace gaming as a core piece of their entertainment budget and will continue to play as long as game publishers deliver compelling and fun games," Gartner Research Director Fabrizio Biscotti said.

Within the gaming software market, mobile gaming is expected to experience the largestgrowth with its share expanding from 15 per cent in 2010 to 20 per cent in 2015.

"As the popularity of smart phones and tablets continues to expand, gaming will remain a key component in the use of these devices. Although they are never used primarily for gaming, mobile games are the most downloaded application category across most application stores," Gartner Principal Research Analyst Tuong Nguyenat said.

For this reason, mobile gaming will continue to thrive as more consumers expand their use of new and innovative portable connected devices, Nguyenat added.

The ecosystem includes console makers like Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft, software for devices like Xbox 360, PlayStation and Wii, handheld consoles like Game Boy Advance, Nintendo besides PC gaming software, mobile and online gaming.

5 ways to effectively deal with your boss

The boss is the one who determines your success/failure as a leader. Effective employees take a lot of time and effort to manage not only their relationships with their subordinates but also with their bosses. Managing the team as a leader is as important as managing the boss. A person at one point or another in his career will report to the manager, the person you fondly or not, call the boss. The relationship that you create and manage, with both your immediate boss, and other company employees, are critical for your work success and career progress. Following are the best possible ways to build up a cordial relationship with your boss.

1.Do work that is accurate, relevant and useful

Doing an accurate task is not an easy job. One has to be completely focused on the job that he/she is entrusted with. Therefore, you should put in all your effort and attention to make it look perfect. Accuracy is the best that talent you can boast of. Managers look for perfectionism in their employees. You should be smart enough to identify the relevance and usefulness of an assignment that you would take up. Be ready to provide accurate and useful information while you have a meeting with your boss.

2. Share your ideas to make things better

Good ideas work well. You should always deliver new and innovative ideas to make your work look perfect. Bosses always encourage good ideas
. When you share innovative ideas with your boss, your reputation grows to a different level. Managers do welcome practical ideas that can help their business. Better ideas to lessen the workload or to effectively manage it are always highly valued. Do not be hesitant to share your views on how to improve work environment, operations, or customer service; because these will add greater value to your image as a true professional.

3. Learn how to read your boss' moods

Learning to read your boss' moods and reactions is very important as its highly helpful in approaching and communicating effectively with him. There are times w
hen he would not like to be interrupted or would not invite your suggestions. For instance, if he is preoccupied with making this month's numbers, your formula for a six-month improvement may not be timely. Problems at home or a relative's health related issue can affect his workplace behaviors and openness to an improvement discussion. Additionally ,if your boss regularly reacts in the same way to similar ideas, explore what he fundamentally likes or dislikes about your proposals

4. Use good Manners

Always remember to use good manners and behaviors when you have a conversation with your boss. Good manners work well in an organization specially when in discussion. Words l
ike thank you, sorry can help you to earn a healthy relationship with your boss. You can develop a good impression of yourself with your boss and your co-worker with such mannerisms. This includes the professional attitude in all your day-to-day assignments like the way you use email, handling customers, and knowing where, when and how to use your cell phone while at work etc.

5.Dependability and honesty

Certain things are more disabling to a boss than a subordinate on whom he cannot depend, whose work he cannot trust. No one is intentionally undependable. A
commitment to an optimistic delivery date may please a superior in the short term but become a source of displeasure if not honored. It's difficult for a boss to rely on a subordinate who frequently misses deadlines. Dishonestly is another issue. It's almost impossible for bosses to work effectively if they cannot rely on a fairly accurate reading from their subordinates, because it undermines credibility. Dishonestly is perhaps the most troubling trait a subordinate can have. Without a basic level of trust, a boss feels compelled to check all of a subordinates decisions, which makes it difficult to delegate.
